ASSOCIATED CAREER HISTORY

Art Camp Teacher

2019-

During the Summer months, I work as a teacher in the Art Center Creative Kids Art Camp.  In this position, I design curriculum and themed projects to teach children ages 6-10 about art making, art history, and appreciation.

For the Continuing Education Program, I teach community-based courses in Digital Photography and Photo Editing with Photoshop/Photoshop Elements.  I also give lectures in Art History as part of an lecture ongoing series, focusing primarily topics in Western and Byzantine Art, as well as the history of photography.



Painting Assistant

After relocating from Portland to New York, I worked as a painter in the studio of local artist Ran Ortner.  I perform tasks relating to studio production, primarily underpainting and retouching works alongside the other assistants.

 

Photographer/Photo Editor

2009-present

After graduating from my Photography course, I began working in Portland as a photographer, shooting weddings, events, and portraits as well as my own fine art projects.  In addition, I often subcontract to other photographers as a photo editor and/or second shooter for larger jobs.

 

Office and Shooting Assistant

2009-2014

I began working with Fritz Liedtke as an intern while completing my degree and was later hired for work in both the office and studio. My responsibilities included assisting on commercial and portrait assignments, framing and album design, office management and basic bookkeeping.  I also would on occasion represent the photo brand at trade shows and studio conventions.
